GENERAL 

Do you have disabled access?

Entry into the Delicatessen is on the ground floor and is accessible to all. We do however have a section of the shop which requires climbing one step to reach. If you are having difficulties accessing this section of the shop our staff are available to help you by bringing the products you require to you.

Our Kaffeehaus is situated on the first floor and is only accessible via a full stairway. Our premises are situated in the oldest Victorian Arcade in Cardiff and as such it is a Listed Building and we are prohibited from installing a lift to the first floor. We regret therefore that we are unable to provide disabled access to the Kaffeehaus.

Our customer toilet is located on the ground floor and is wheelchair and disabled friendly.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Hard copy gift vouchers in £5 and £10 denominations are available to purchase in person from the Delicatessen or via our website. These may only be redeemed in-store.

Gift vouchers are also available for our Afternoon Tea for 2 persons.

No change is given should the value of the goods purchased be less than the value of the gift voucher being redeemed.

Do you have any other branches?

Wally's Delicatessen & Kaffeehaus in Royal Arcade is our only branch. We have taken the decision to focus on this one location to maximise the quality of our offering and to maintain the link with our heritage.

How do I find you?

For your convenience we have included a map on our Contact Us page. 

You will not be able to drive all the way to our shop as Cardiff City Centre is a pedestrianised shopping area. However the directions will get you into Cardiff where you will find numerous car parks!

What are your opening hours?

We are open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day and Easter Sunday.

Do you offer Student Discount?

We offer a 10% discount to students upon production of a valid and in-date student identity card.

Do you accept contactless and ApplePay?

We do accept contactless cards and ApplePay in the store

 

 

KAFFEEHAUS 

Do you take reservations?

Reservations can be made for our Kaffeehaus on Mondays to Fridays and on Sundays. We do not take reservations for Saturdays when we operate a "First Come First Served" system. 

Do you do take-away?

Take-away options for most of the items on our Kaffeehaus menu are available.

When is your Afternoon Tea served?

Our Viennese Afternoon Tea is served in the Kaffeehaus on Mondays to Saturdays from 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm and on Sundays from 12.00  - 2.00 pm. The cost is £22.50 for 2 persons. Gift vouchers are available.

What does the Afternoon Tea consist of?

Our Afternoon Tea provides a delightful afternoon treat. Enjoy a traditional style Afternoon Tea with a Viennese twist.

Sip a coffee of your choice or share a freshly brewed pot of tea whilst indulging in a platter of Viennese finger sandwiches specially adapted from our Open Sandwiches Lunch menu and a selection of cakes and gateaux from our Patisserie Counter,

Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Do you have high chairs for young children?

We have high chairs available for young children in our Kaffeehaus.

What if I've forgotten my password?

Don't worry if you have forgotten your password. Click the 'Forgot your Password' link, provide your email address and a link to reset your password will be sent to you.

How do I create an account?

At the top of the site, you'll see a link saying 'Log In'. Click on this, then select 'Create Account' on the left hand side of the page. You'll be guided through the registration process. If you wish to shop first you will have the option to create an account as you proceed through the checkout or you may checkout as a guest. 

I can't log in?

Please use the email address you originally registered with, remembering that your password is case sensitive.

 

ONLINE ORDERING

How can I order?

You can place an order either via our website or by calling us on 029 2022 9265 and giving your order and payment details by phone.

What if I want a product that is not in stock?

Due to the nature of many of the products we stock we cannot always guarantee continual product availability. We endeavour to remove any out of stock products from our website when they are unavailable and to reinstate them when they become available again. Should you order a product which is listed on our website but which is out of stock we will inform you before we despatch your order and offer you a suitable alternative if one is available. Please check our website regularly for product availability.

I can't find items I am looking for?

Please check the spelling or wording of the item you're searching for. Sometimes items may no longer be available.

When will out of stock items be available?

We receive regular deliveries from our suppliers and most items will be in stock within a reasonably short period. However, due to the nature of the products we stock this can ocassionally be longer.

We are not able to provide specific dates for when items will be back in stock so please keep checking the website site for availability or call the store for further information.

When will I receive my order?

We aim to despatch all orders within 48 hours of receipt and we use a next day delivery service. Please note that we do not guarantee that you will receive your delivery within 24 hours of placing your order. We do not despatch orders containing perishable items on Fridays. You will receive an email upon despatch of your order including a tracking number which will allow you to track your order.  We reserve the right to delay despatch in certain circumstances.

Can I specify a date and/or time to receive my order?

When you Check Out you can specify a particular date to receive your order and we will delay despatch until the day prior to the preferred delivery date. We do not deliver on Saturdays and Sundays.

You cannot specify a time to receive your order, excepting that if you wish to receive the order by 10.00 am you can select the 10.00 am Next Day delivery option.

Can I send a gift card?

We can include a gift card with your delivery. Simply provide us with the wording you require when you Check Out and we will include the gift card with your parcel. If you are sending the parcel to a different person we won't include the invoice and receipt with the parcel but will send it to the billing address.

What payment cards do you accept?

We currently accept payment by:

What if my card is not accepted?

It may be that you have not entered the correct details for the payment card. The details must exactly match the details of your credit/debit card including the 3 digit security code from the back of the card?

When will I be charged for my purchase?

Your payment card will be charged only when we despatch your order and not when you place your order. In this way we can ensure that you will not be charged for any goods that are unavailable.

What if I haven't received all of my order?

Please check your confirmation email to see if all items were ordered and your despatch email to see if all items ordered were despatched. You will not be charged if an item ordered is not despatched. Please contact us if you find any discrepancies from what you were expecting to receive or have been charged for.

Can I pay be cheque?

We accept cheques in the Delicatessen & Kaffeehaus although we are unable to accept payment by cheque for purchases through our website.

How do I apply a Discount Code?

When you view your shopping cart before you actually check out, you will see a DISCOUNT CODE box. You then need to click on the Arrow Down to expand that box. You will be prompted to enter the Discount Code and then Apply Coupon. Provided that the Discount Code you enter is valid and current and provided that your order satisfies the conditions of the offer, the discount will be applied to your order.

How do I redeem my gift vouchers?

Gift vouchers may only be redeemed in person in the Delicatessen or Kaffeehaus. You cannot use these for your online purchases.
