Another excellent lunch

Had a real nice lunch as usual. I had Tyrol open sandwich which i really like. I love this place with soft music playing in the background. All the staff are really very good. I will be back very soon. Of course i was also shopping in the Deli. Amazing place.

A good lunch stop

Very good deli downstairs, lovely home made soup and bread, tasty cakes in the restaurant upstairs. Very friendly helpful staff. We would recommend this place for a light lunch at a reasonable price.

Weekday Lunch

I stopped in for lunch. The seating area for food is upstairs. I ordered the meat and cheese platter.I was happy with it, a good mix of meats, cheese, bread and some vege.
A small pot of tea was a nice addition. Fast friendly service. They have a good selection of items downstairs for sale. Enjoy.

Lovely place

I visit this place every time I come to Cardiff. The choice of foods is out of this world. The choice of salami is great. All the food is so fresh! You get what you pay for - always spend a fortune when I visit. Staff are very nice - great service!

THE BEST place to buy delicious food and have lunch

I have been shopping at Wally's for over ten years. It offers an array of delicious foods from around the world.

The cold meat options are enough to make any lover bow down and salivate. Olives, cheese, nuts, chocolate, ice creams, breads... I could go on.

Visit this heavenly delicatessen if you love food - you won't be disappointed.

Fab lunch!

I'm so glad to have stumbled across the Kaffehaus. I knew of the actual shop but this was my first visit to the café upstairs. I will return. Both the coffee and the open sandwich were delicious and the service was friendly but efficient

Cheese cheeese, yes please

Please go and say 'Hello' to Leanne, at the cheese counter in Wally's. So amazingly lovely a lady she is, not only did she arrange to give our son a cheese tasting of his own as a treat - but offered to come in on her day off when it was quieter for him (he's autistic). There are many, many kind people in this world, she is one.

Wally's is an institution of course, a treasure of a food emporium. But it only works so well because of the passionate and generous people who work there. Thank you x

Continental Shopping Haven!

Stumbled upon this place accidentally while wandering around Cardiff's arcades.

Best find for a long time! This deli is a trove of European delicacies- the choice of meats and cheeses at the counter is extensive and affordable (if bought is small amounts)! Part baked loaves are available to take home for fresh artisan bread, and the olive selection is excellent. Wally's selection of baklava is fab, (fresh and delicious) and available individually if you just want a small treat, or in larger packs.

if you want to share. Wally's also stock local Welsh liqueurs and beers/ales. Buy the mead! Really impressed by this place, and could spend a great deal of time browsing here.

The staff are helpful, but they don't interrupt your browsing to push sales, which allows a calm shopping environment.

Highly recommended- but prices are a little high.

I use this place regularly due to its excellent service. Professional advice. Extensive ranges. And a cracking restaurant above with European dishes and snacks to suit every taste. Also a place for that special coffee, whatever your taste. I can't praise it high enough.

Wally's is a very old established delicatessen. It's absolutely amazing and sells a huge range of products. It's an absolute joy just to wander around and find the diverse and interesting foods on display. A must when visiting Cardiff.

Great selection of foodie items to buy, good cheese counter and charcuterie. The cafe is great with a vast menu! Would recommend for popping in for lunch!

A little piece of Vienna in the heart of Wales. As an ex-Austrian resident, I sometimes miss the coffee house culture that Vienna is so known for. This place, however, helps me get my fix every so often.

The coffee house is small and above the seizable delicatessen downstairs. There is limited seating and so it can be a bit of a wait. The service is fast, however, and you normally don't wait for too long. The place specialises in traditional coffee house fare. There is a coffee menu long enough to intimidate the uninitiated. Don't fret, however, as there are helpful explanations of each version of Viennese coffee. The place also offers a good selection of open top sandwiches and light bistro-like food.

The best delicatessen I've ever been to in this country. A great range of products to suit everyone's taste

A gorgeous delicatessen, with many products from other parts of Europe if not the world. A plethora of olives, cheeses, salami's and different dried cured meats. Confectionery, such as cakes, biscuits and other sweets from many places. Jars of different food stuff, plus alcohol, wine and beers anything that you can think of that is normally sold in delicatessens.

Also, a great little Kaffehaus/coffee house upstairs - German coffees, open sandwiches, bagels, sweet beverages and puddings presented very well. Try the Apple Strudel - gorgeous!

Good deli with a huge choice of produce. Very useful for a lot of Asian ingredients, also great for cured meats and cheese. The beer selection has grown massively over the last few years too

I pop in here for time to time to stock up on my cheese or for a snack on dried meats and olives.

This is an amazing little shop full of tasty gems from around the world. I always discover something knew when I come here.

What many people don't know is that there is a hidden away cafe upstairs. It's perfect for a bit of light lunch
