VIENNESE COFFEE CULTURE COMES TO CARDIFF
Viennese Kaffeehaus Tradition
The Viennese Kaffeehaus tradition began when Vienna was liberated by the Austrians in the 17th century and they found a number of sacks with strange beans which had been left behind by the Turks. The Austrians initially thought that these strange beans were camel feed and they wanted to burn them. After some experimentation with sugar and milk however, the Viennese coffee culture was born and lives on to this day.
